Vintage Leather Jacket, Fringed Motorcycle jacket, Hein Gericke

This is a great looking vintage leather motorcycle jacket made by Hein Gericke between the 1980's and 1990's. This German company specialized in high-end, extremely well made motorcycle racing gear. Hein Gericke leather pieces feature masterful tailoring and innovative features.

This black leather jacket has a very attractive cut with a slim waist and tapered hips. The jacket has great detailing, with a classic motorcycle style snap-back collar, a zippered front with a Hein Gericke insignia pull tab and side lacing at the hips that repeats on the shoulders. Black leather fringe runs along either side of the jacket from the shoulders to the waist. This fringe repeats on the back of the jacket, forming a "V".

The jacket features two zippered side pockets, a diagonal zippered pocket on the chest and a buttoned interior pocket. The back of the jacket features a tailored gather that emphasizes the jacket's form and gives it a fantastic fit. There is an additional leather patch detail under the arms that has grommets for air flow. The jacket's sleeves feature a Hein Gericke insignia patch on the left shoulder and zippered cuffs that are gusseted for extra movement and comfort. The jacket is fully lined with black quilted fabric that gives the jacket softness, but also an added layer of protection when riding.
