Highlights

All Epic Miniatures are Truescale. Please read the definition of scale below.

Greetings, Adventurer, and welcome to Serix’s Bag of Holding.

Before you venture deeper into the vault, we strongly recommend visiting our Miniature Scale Guide:

This guide is designed to give you a clear understanding of what scale actually means in tabletop miniatures. It combines visual comparisons with technical explanations, covering:

how scale is measured (eye-line vs total height)
the difference between truescale and heroic proportions
why some miniatures appear larger than others
creature size classes and tabletop footprint
real-world size comparisons and ratio-based scaling

👉 In short: it shows you exactly what you’re getting before you order, so there are no surprises when your miniature arrives.

Should you seek models not listed here in our Etsy storefront, you may explore our full catalog at our official workshop:

Not every treasure from our vault can be displayed within Etsy’s halls.

Before placing your order, we kindly ask that you read the information below so you know exactly what to expect from the crafting of your miniature. All miniatures offered in our shop arrive unpainted, ready for you to bring them to life with brush and color.

Custom Painting Commissions

For those seeking a fully painted hero or monster, there is an artist in the workshop worthy of legend. My wife is an established painter who once worked for Malibu Comics and has spent over 20 years selling her artwork at science fiction and fantasy conventions.

She accepts commissions for any model found within our store, and examples of her work are available upon request. Commission listings are handled through her own shop:

tntstudiosart.etsy.com

If the model you wish to commission is not listed there yet, simply send a message and we will gladly have it added.

Print-on-Demand Crafting

Serix’s Bag of Holding is a print-on-demand workshop. We do not keep shelves filled with pre-made miniatures unless a rare extra print or canceled order remains.

Every miniature is crafted after purchase and all orders are produced in the order they are received. During busy seasons the crafting queue may take 20–30 business days before your order is ready to ship.

What to Expect From Your Miniature

Not every model is designed to be printed as a single piece. To protect delicate parts during travel, many figures arrive in multiple components.

For example:
• Wings
• Weapons
• Arms
• Large accessories

These parts are often printed separately to prevent breakage during shipping. Modular models are intentionally designed to be assembled using the pieces provided.

Bases are also not attached unless the original sculpt was designed that way. This not only reduces the risk of damage but also makes painting your miniature much easier.

Materials and Printing

Your miniature will be 3D printed in high-quality resin. In most cases the color will be gray, though resin color may occasionally vary depending on supplier availability.

If you would like a specific resin color, please include that request in your order notes. Special color requests may slightly delay production if they were not mentioned ahead of time.

After printing, every model undergoes several steps:

• Support structures are carefully removed
• The model is washed in alcohol
• It is then cured under UV light to harden the resin

Because of the curing process, larger parts may occasionally require minor adjustment during assembly, and some light sanding or cleanup may still be necessary.

Gap filling may also be required during assembly. Many hobbyists use Green Stuff by Army Painter, which can be found at most hobby stores or online.

Understanding Scale

Miniature scale can sometimes cause confusion, so here is a clear breakdown of how scale works across the creators in our shop.

Truescale

Truescale uses a six-foot human measured from foot to eye in a neutral standing pose. If a model is listed as 32mm, that means a six-foot human figure would measure approximately 32mm to the eye.

All other creatures are scaled proportionally around that human figure. For example, if you purchase a 54mm ogre, it will not measure 54mm tall. Instead, it may stand several inches high, as it is scaled relative to a human figure.

👉 Scale refers to proportion, not total height.

Additional Notes

Some creators specialize in unique formats:

Ritual Casting produces true-scale diorama models
Witchsong focuses on massive creatures that may range from 4 to 15 inches tall
Semi-Heroic Scale

Semi-heroic scale sits between true scale and heroic scale.

These models feature slightly exaggerated proportions to enhance detail and readability, while still maintaining relatively realistic anatomy.

They often blend well with both truescale and heroic collections, making them a flexible option for mixed armies or display pieces.

Semi-Heroic Creators Represented in Our Shop:
White Werewolf Tavern
Hardwitch Games
Great Grimoire
Daybreak
Heroic Scale

Heroic scale is a stylized artistic design and cannot be directly converted to truescale.

Heroic miniatures feature:

larger heads
thicker weapons
broader armor
exaggerated proportions

This creates a bold, high-visibility appearance ideal for tabletop gaming and painting.

Because of these exaggerated proportions—and a phenomenon known as scale creep—heroic miniatures often appear larger than truescale models, even when labeled with the same scale.

Heroic Scale Creators Represented in the Shop:
Artisan Guild
Bite the Bullet
Clay Beast
Epics N Stuffs
Dragon Trappers Lodge
Signum Workshop
Clay Cyanide
Important Note

👉 Miniatures are typically measured to the eye line, not the highest point of the model.
👉 Two miniatures at the same scale may still differ in total height depending on pose, base, and sculpting style.

Combined Shipping

Shipping costs are automatically combined during checkout.

If the price appears unusually high, there may be an incorrect weight assigned to an item. In that case, feel free to message us so we can take a look.

Shipping cost is ultimately determined by package weight, which increases quickly with larger models.

If you plan to purchase multiple items, it is best to add them to your cart before completing payment so the combined shipping rate is calculated properly.

Licensing

Serix’s Bag of Holding is officially licensed by the creators listed in each product title to produce and sell physical prints of their models.

However, our licensing agreements do not permit us to sell the STL files themselves. If you are looking for the digital files, you can often find them by searching the model name or creator on sites such as MyMiniFactory.

Thank you for visiting Serix’s Bag of Holding. New licenses and models are always being added to the vault, so be sure to check back for future releases.

If you have any questions, you can reach us here on Etsy, through our website, or across social media under the same name.

May your dice roll true,
and may your adventures be legendary. To ensure fairness and to avoid even the appearance of review-related influence, we have a firm workshop policy regarding orders that have received a review.

Once a review has been submitted, we are no longer able to provide further assistance on that order beyond issuing a return label. After the item has been returned to the workshop, a full refund will be processed.

We appreciate your understanding, as this policy helps maintain transparency and integrity for all who pass through Serix’s Bag of Holding.

Ok piece... Details are lost, going up to 54mm. Staff was broken.

Response from Serix

this order was printed on a 12k printer with a .03 layer height. I’m unsure which details they are saying are lost but they don’t get printed any better than that. what’s there is what’s designed to be there
