This top is one of my absolute favorite designs yet, and I am so excited to share this pattern with you. It is an intricate looking, summery and surprisingly comfortable crop top/bralette. The front is made up of two cups, a “body” and some gorgeous edging that merges with the straps. The back is definitely the star of the show where the sun stretches its long rays across the shoulder blades and back. The sun is inspired by the character Alina Starkov (the sun summoner) from the Grishaverse by Leigh Bardugo.

The Alina top can be made in any color or color combination! You can make the whole thing in one solid color or change it up for the straps or the sun. The possibilities are endless!

The construction of the top is made to be comfortable for all bodies and cup sizes. The straps are thick and together with the string in the back they provide plenty of support. The sun is attached to the body using snap buttons or hook and eye, which makes the top fit nicely on your body and makes it easy to put on and remove without too much trouble.

Because this pattern is "made-to-measure" there will be no predetermined sizes to follow. A lot of the times you will have to follow you own intuition and improvise. This is not a beginner friendly pattern! But, I am more than happy to guide you along the way and answer any questions you might have!

Materials:
3 mm hook or hook needed to meet gauge
Super fine, fingering cotton yarn (90-200 g)
Snap buttons x4 (or hook and eye x2)
Yarn needle to weave in ends
Measuring tape
Sewing needle and thread to match your top
Scissors
Stitch markers x8

Love the final project!! I tried tweeking some things that turned out a little hectic. I did hdc/dc cups and then I did the straps last to make sure they fit and I didnt have to frog. Well they turned out a little to long and my cups were slightly too big. But this is a made to measure pattern which I love!! I just gotta measure better hahaha.
