What kind of clothing does BogariaAtelier sell?

BogariaAtelier is a handmade women's clothing boutique based in Sofia, Bulgaria. We specialize in slow fashion pieces crafted from natural fabrics — primarily European linen, organic cotton, and premium wool. Our collections include linen dresses, midi wrap dresses, maxi dresses, shirt dresses, boho dresses, winter knit dresses, turtleneck sweater dresses, gothic wedding dresses, wool coats, and asymmetric coats for women. Every garment is thoughtfully made by hand in our small atelier, designed for women who love timeless style, comfort, and sustainable fashion.

Are BogariaAtelier clothes made from sustainable or eco-friendly materials?

Yes. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we make. Our linen fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified, meaning they are free from harmful chemicals and produced under environmentally responsible conditions. We use 100% natural European linen, organic cotton, and natural wool — all of which are biodegradable, breathable, and long-lasting. We believe in slow fashion: creating fewer, better pieces that are built to last rather than fast fashion that ends up in landfills. Each garment is made to order or in small batches, which minimizes waste.

What sizes are available at BogariaAtelier?

We offer an inclusive size range from XS to 4XL across most of our listings. We believe every body deserves beautiful, well-fitting clothing, which is why we provide a detailed size chart with exact measurements (bust, waist, hips, and length) in every listing's photos. If your measurements fall between sizes or if you need a custom size, simply send us a message before ordering. We're happy to accommodate custom sizing at no extra charge on most styles — just reach out and we'll guide you through the process.

Can I request a custom size or custom color for my dress or coat?

Absolutely. Customization is one of the things we love most about running a small handmade atelier. If you'd like a dress in a different color, a coat in a longer length, or any garment adjusted to your exact measurements, please message us before placing your order. We'll discuss your requirements, confirm availability of the fabric color you want, and create a custom listing just for you. Custom orders typically take 7–14 days to produce, depending on the complexity of the piece.

How long does shipping take from Bulgaria to the USA, UK, Europe, or Australia?

We ship worldwide from Sofia, Bulgaria, using tracked international courier services. Estimated delivery times are as follows: Europe — 5 to 10 business days; USA and Canada — 10 to 18 business days; UK — 7 to 14 business days; Australia and New Zealand — 14 to 21 business days; Rest of the world — 14 to 25 business days. Please note that customs processing times may occasionally cause delays. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via Etsy so you can follow your parcel every step of the way.

Is BogariaAtelier clothing true to size or should I size up?

Our garments are designed with a relaxed, comfortable fit that works well for a variety of body types. For most styles — especially our linen dresses and wrap dresses — the sizing runs true to standard European measurements. However, we always recommend checking the detailed size chart in each listing before ordering, as fit can vary slightly by style. If you are between sizes or prefer a looser silhouette, sizing up is a good option. For a more tailored fit, message us and we can adjust the pattern to your specific measurements.

What is the return and exchange policy at BogariaAtelier?

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. If you receive an item that doesn't fit or doesn't meet your expectations, please contact us within 14 days of delivery. We accept returns on non-customized items in their original, unworn condition with tags attached. For custom-made or made-to-order garments, returns are not accepted unless the item arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect. In those cases, we will gladly remake or repair the item at no cost to you. Please always message us first — we want every customer to be happy with their purchase.

How do I care for linen clothing to make it last longer?

Linen is a wonderfully durable natural fabric that gets softer with every wash. To keep your linen dress or linen coat in perfect condition, machine wash on a gentle cycle at 30–40°C (86–104°F) using a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and harsh chemicals. Tumble dry on low heat or, even better, hang to air dry naturally — linen dries quickly. Iron while slightly damp on a medium-hot setting for a crisp look, or embrace the natural, relaxed wrinkle of linen for a more effortless style. Store folded or hung in a cool, dry wardrobe.

Does BogariaAtelier make plus size women's clothing?

Yes! We are proud to offer plus size options across most of our collections, with sizes ranging up to 4XL. We believe that beautiful, handmade clothing should be accessible to women of all shapes and sizes. Our wrap dresses, linen midi dresses, and wool coats are all designed to be flattering across a wide range of body types. If you don't see your size listed, or if you need a larger size than 4XL, please reach out — we can create a fully custom garment tailored to your exact measurements.

Are BogariaAtelier dresses suitable for weddings, special occasions, or everyday wear?

Our clothing is designed to be versatile and occasion-flexible. Our gothic wedding dresses and grey maxi dresses are popular choices for alternative brides, intimate ceremonies, and winter weddings. Our linen midi dresses and wrap dresses are perfect for garden parties, summer weddings as a guest, brunches, and beach vacations. Our wool coats and knit dresses work beautifully for autumn and winter events as well as everyday city wear. Many customers tell us they reach for their BogariaAtelier pieces again and again — that's exactly the kind of clothing we aim to create.
