Vintage from the 1960s

A wonderful antique waistcoat with duck hunting embroidery to the front.

Made by Arthur M Rosenburg, a leading custom tailor who made suits in New Haven for Yale students.

The waistcoat has a custom label indicating the person it was made for (one J G Harvey IV) and the date - December 1969.

The waistcoat has a sick back and wool front, with ducks embroidered in the front, and a crossed rifle motif on the chest.

Hand finished using traditional tailoring techniques. Two little pockets to the front, and an adjustable band to the back.

In used vintage condition. There is some wear to the silk backing - particularly over one shoulder. Please see the pictures for details. The stitching on the lining at the outer back of the neck is also partially loose, and there is extensive marking to the back and to the lining.
