Coqui Taino Stainless Steel pendant, Taino jewelry mounted on a 21" of length and 3mm rounded box link stainless steel chain necklace, Puerto Rico pride, Boricuas Pride, Puertorrican petroglyphic Coqui pendant 28mm in circumference and 2mm thick. The stainless steel chain, pendant and lobster clasp are lead-free, nickel-free, cadmium-free and hypoallergenic. Stainless steel will not tarnish. taino, coqui taino, sol taino, boricua, pride, puertorriqueño, puerto rico, jayuya, utuado, caguana, indios, petroglifo, petroglyphic... The Coqui symbol represents an image of a small frog species (in Spanish “el coqui”). The coqui frog received its name as a result of the rhythmic sounds it makes only during the night. The coqui frog has been an inhabitant of Puerto Rico for 3000 years and is still an inhabitant today. This particular species is not found in other islands and has survived for many centuries in its natural environment of Puerto Rico.
