100% Superwash New Zealand Polwarth Wool

Soft, strong and lustrous.
This wonderful wool is from the New Zealand Polwarth sheep, an old sheep breed combining 75% merino and 25% Lincoln. The fibre is similar to merino but with more sheen, so sleek, springy and lustrous. It is worsted spun from long staple fibres to produce a yarn that is silky and smooth. Good stitch definition. Ideal for socks, gloves, jumpers and items that require some strength. Takes up the dye well to produce strong and vibrant colours.

250 yds/100 g skein

Gauge, 5.5-6 sts/in, US 3-6 needle

Care Instructions:
Hand wash using a wool detergent, ideally below 30°C, avoid wringing and twisting. Dry flat out of direct sunlight, do not spin or tumble dry.
