I use the exact same size seed beads that were used to make Jim's original necklace. Some seller's choose to use a bigger or smaller size bead, however I keep it in its form just as it was in 1967. Each necklace is traditionally hand crafted for excellence and made with vintage (NOS) private stock czech seed beads.(60's era most correct green seed beads)
I hand select the absolute finest glass czech seed beads available and use the strongest C-Lon Tex 400 nylon cord for bead making. I do not use fishing line, I believe it compromises the quality of the necklace as it ages. All photo's are to show the exact detail of this necklace. The pattern and colors I use are the most exact and as close to the same as the original one's that Henry Diltz used to make Jim's. The result is a true to detail and the most accurate and authentic replica of Jim's famous bead necklace available today and is 100% hand made by me and for you to enjoy.

Materials:
C-Lon Tex 400 Cord. Hand braided and spun in house and wax coated for superior Break strength 75 lbs. (this is the strongest bead cord available). This interwoven cord is the most important part of the necklace and I refuse to use anything less than C-Lon Tex 400. As of right now I am the only maker of the Jim Morrison bead necklace in the world using this high quality beading cord and have been doing so for years. I use this cord for all of my necklaces and I also suspect other seller's will soon follow my lead on this as well. Trust me the stronger the cord, the better and longer your necklace will last.
Czech glass seed beads: Each Czechoslovakian seed bead is hand selected for quality and uniformity and are the exact same size as the beads that Henry Diltz used for Jim Morrison's bead necklace. Each necklace is an exact hand made authentic replica of Jim Morrison's young lion photo shoot bead necklace. Each necklace is a beautiful 26 to 28 inches long. Custom lengths are available! Through almost 20 years trial and error I have found that tying a secure knot seems to work best and keeps the integrity and quality of the necklace intact.
