These elegant Mother of Pearl fan earrings were handcrafted in Mexico.
Each segment of Mother of Pearl shell was cut and polished by hand and then set into the Art Deco inspired fan design.
When the earrings move they catch the light and show all their iridescence!

The shade of the shell may vary very slightly, they are individually handcrafted.
The earrings are approximately 4.5cm long including the ear hook.

This is part of a collection of jewellery that I make with Mexican artisans. Inspired by my mum's collection from the 80's when she bought and sold Mexican jewellery on her London market stall.
I still have some of her vintage pieces available in my shop and now I am recreating these timeless pieces.
