Bring ethical ambience and soothing colour to your interiors with this handwoven sisal lampshade in dusky pink with a black and white weave. Whether you’re shopping for your own neutral home or choosing a new home gift for someone who loves ethnic style, this woven lampshade will bring handcrafted joy wherever it hangs.
This colour block lampshade was designed and produced by a craftswoman working within a fair trade weaving cooperative in rural Kenya. These women all belong to the Kamba tribe, a group renowned the world over for their exquisite handicrafts.
Basketry is one of the crafts that the Kamba are best known for. These weavers are all primarily farmers, largely relying on unpredictable rainfall to grow crops and rear livestock. Basket weaving has become a source of alternative income for these communities during the dry seasons, helping women support their families more comfortably.

Attachment Type - Screw on, no need for an electrician.
A white metal ring is secured to the inner of the lampshade to hold wire and bulb in place once assembled. LED bulbs are recommended
