I love being inspired by historic images that I discover through book and internet research. This design is no different. In going down a rabbit hole one day, I learned about this very unique labyrinth that once existed in the Reims Cathedral in France (about 90 miles east of Paris). While the original was destroyed a couple of centuries ago, records of its most unusual features and shape have survived. Historical background information about this labyrinth is included with the pattern.

Model was stitched on 32 count Exotic Orchid Lugana by Zweigart, using one strand of DMC Etoitle C310 (two skein needed) and Kreinik Cord #105C for the filling areas. Any two colors of thread would work for this design.

Pattern is black and white and uses full cross stitches and tent stitches only.

Stitch count is 104 x 104.
