What is Nerdthusiasm?
Nerdthusiasm is a word I made up to describe something I've always known exists, but never found a word for. I genuinely believe that EVERYONE has something in their life that will bring them the kind of joy that makes it hard to hold still when you're talking about it.
In my life, I've had about 17 zillion hobbies and been interested in at least twice that number of interests. The main thread for me has been the excitement of trying something new and discovering that there's yet one more amazingly awesome thing in this world.
This has introduced me to countless fandoms and hobbies. From blacksmithing to woodworking, resincraft to jewelry making, paper arts (like pepakura and origami) to 3d printing, or from small engine repair to construction-grade carpentry, I have tried so many things. Some of the things I've done have been more enjoyable than others, but in the end, I've learned something valuable about life, myself, and the world around me in the process.

About Nerdthusiasm the shop:
I got the idea into my head to start making resin pins after going to a convention in early 2019. I already had some resin on hand from a cosplay piece I was building at the time, so I did some research and started experimenting. After a couple months, I had the system I was comfortable with pretty well sorted out. One day at work, a friend saw my backpack covered in pins I'd made. She basically told me I had to start an Etsy shop. On September 13, 2019, I did, and you all have made it a non-stop joy since then.
I have continued to improve the process and found even better-quality materials for my items. I have also been able to try my hand at new products such as making resin coasters and necklaces, which I find beautiful and so much fun to make. I can't thank you all enough for making this possible and so much fun.
