Wonderful old item from the mid 20th Century.
Jesus Christ on traditional Roman Catholic crucifix.
It has the INRI* plaque also.
*INRI (Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum) represents the Latin inscription which in English reads as "Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews"

No origin or maker is indicated. Normally these are from Italy, but this is not marked.
Approx. 6" tall by 4" at the widest.

Has hole for hanging on a wall.
Brass with Yellow swirled Bakelite cross sandwiched in between.

This carries the engraved name of its previous owner, in a gothic font.
"Marie Louise Caesar"
This is a bit heavier and of nicer quality than we normally encounter.
Gorgeous.

The bakelite is tested with smell and simichrome.
