These barrettes are handmade from cellulose acetate, which is heat up and hand-tied to form a knot. This listing is for a choice of seven funky vintage Italian cellulose acetate patterns: a 'Blonde' Tortoise, 'Neon Yellow', a gorgeous grey and beige pattern that I call 'Heather', 'Green Horn', a light pink striped metallic 'Shell', a black and white mod pattern I call 'Zebra' and a rich green streaky metallic I call 'Moss'.
The acetate bar is heat set into the highest quality french barrette backings.
All of our products are made by hand in NYC from Italian acetate-a light-weight vegan plastic. Please remember when purchasing our products, that Acetate is material that will not break or chip easily like other plastics and horn jewelry out on the market. This is a plastic made for the optical industry, so it was created for durability and comfort. All of our pieces will be with you for years, and most of our designs are simple, classic shapes that will indeed always be relevant in your wardrobe. Wipe clean with a soft cloth.
