1940’s Black Moire Taffeta Cocktail Suit, 34” bust
Gorgeous moire fabric with that lovely taffeta rustle on movement, the sheen highlights the faux boos like pattern.
The jacket neckline is a modest v with a minimal shawl collar.
Typical nipped waistline with a belt, to highlight. Strong shoulders tapered sleeves, with back of elbow seams for bend. the shoulders pads.
The jacket measures 34” bust-it might accommodate larger as it has pleats and 30” waist. The skirt is 28” waist. The skirt is panelled and has a metal zipper, with a hook and eye on waistline.
The suit is unlined .
Pocket details are breath taking.
Under arms are stained.
A few stitches need strengthening.
The belt loop on right needs to be restitched. No holes. Zipper, buttons and fabric are otherwise gorgeous. Please ask for photos-suit is wearable as is.
