The decorative finish is sealed with an acrylic clear coat to prevent rust, but will need occasional maintenance with use and will patina over time which just adds to the authentic blacksmithed look.

Each item is forged out of steel under hammer and anvil through the art of blacksmithing here in Perth out of my home workshop.
