This gorgeous hand woven textile is about as versatile as they get!! My customers use these wonderful textiles as blankets, bed covers, coverlets , area rugs ( simply use the non-slip carpet webbing under) , throws and upholstery fabric for furniture! The possibilities of this wonderful textile are endless... This textile dates from the 1950-1970's . This textile is hand woven using various strips of old fabric, and the warp is natural cotton. Traditionally, rag rugs were made using old clothing that had reached the end of its life… old coats, trousers and thick fabrics. Most of these textiles have been created by seaming together two hand woven panels to make the large textiles (some do not have the seam - please see the listing photographs and use the zoom feature to view the details of this particular piece). This textile uses SO many wonderful colors... it will look extraordinary in just about any interior! It is a beautiful, heavy weight too... wonderfully nubby and textural, and would add charm to any room! ~ This textile is SO very simple to care for too - it can be machine washed! ~*~ Gorgeous colors, gorgeous textile and lovely history behind it. Heavy weight, this textile weighs 5 pounds .

MEASUREMENTS: This lovely piece measures approximately 69 inches by 73 inches . The Additional white sheeting measures 18 inches long.

CONDITION: This textile is in as found, unwashed condition . There is some pale dye run in places, ( please see photographs ) Lovely condition, softly worn ~Simple machine wash and tumble dry! I like to add fabric softener for added softness!
