A collector's figure of Venom from the Legendary video game "Spiderman for PSX (Playstation 1) and N64!
released in 2000.


Spider-Man is a 2000 action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. Although it features the likenesses and same voice actors, it is not based on the animated television shows from the 1990s.

The game's story follows Spider-Man as he attempts to clear his name after being framed by a doppelgänger and becoming a wanted criminal, while also having to foil a symbiote invasion orchestrated by Doctor Octopus and Carnage. Numerous villains from the comics appear as bosses, including Scorpion, Rhino, Venom, Mysterio, Carnage, and Doctor Octopus, as well as a Carnage symbiote-possessed Doctor Octopus named Monster-Ock, who was created exclusively for the game as the final boss.


The game features narration from co-creator Stan Lee.



Venom: Eddie Brock was present when a Spider-Man impostor appeared, attacked a science expo, and stole a piece of Otto Octavius' technology. Despite bumping into Peter Parker in the crowd, Eddie transformed into Venom and vowed to take down Spider-Man, whom he believed to have become a villain. He kidnapped Mary Jane in an attempt to lure Spider-Man to him. When Spider-Man found him, he gave chase, and Venom lured him into an alley, where they battled briefly. After a fight through the sewers, Spider-Man reminded Venom that he had seen him out-of-costume when the impostor attacked, and that it couldn't have been him. Venom apologized (which only aggravated Spider-Man more) and joined forces with Spider-Man to stop the impostor.
