Based on the real life fostering of "Holly". Holly was a mixed lab who spent all of her life outside. Her owner dropped her off at the Humane Animal Rescue in Pittsburgh, as she needed surgery on her leg and the owner did not want to pay for it. Bethany and Kenny were active foster parents of senior dogs and dogs with health issues. They fell in love with Holly and right before Christmas, they adopted her. She lived out her senior years in their loving home.
