-What is Tung Honey?

Tung Honey Wood Finish is a reformulated version of my popular Tung Wax finish but made to fulfil the needs of woodworkers seeking an ALL NATURAL, long lasting finish for cutting boards, charcuterie boards and other projects requiring a food safe finish. However it can still be used by woodturners as a friction polish on the lathe for a beautiful satin low luster sheen or "off lathe" during production runs or when a more matte natural finish is desired. This enhanced versatility was achieved by adding more PURE tung oil to allow for easier and deeper penetration into the wood. Pure tung oil has been praised for centuries in woodcraft as it is one of only a few natural curing oils in the world. Many more popular oils such as mineral oil (a byproduct petroleum distillate) may feel dry to touch but will NEVER CURE and offers no protection to the wood. Pure tung oil which is the main ingredient within, Tung Honey, will fully cure and has also been infused with a blend of hard carnauba wax and pure white beeswax giving even more added protection to the woods surface. The wax blend also leaves your project silky smooth tp touch.
