Purple prairie clover (Dalea purpurea) is a native perennial wildflower that attracts bees and butterflies. It tolerates dry soil and, once established, is very low-maintenance. Purple prairie clover is also a legume, so it will improve poor soil by fixing nitrogen it collects from the air.

We have to say that these seeds are "produced using organic methods" because we aren't certified organic, but we have only used organic and biodynamic gardening practices since 2011.

No cold stratification is necessary for these seeds, so they can be planted in spring or summer without any preparation. However, since the hulls are not removed, you can improve germination by soaking the seeds in hot water just before planting.

Seed packets come with approximately 50-100 seeds that were produced in 2021.
