Bottom of trunk sections of a big cholla cactus plant. Unusually thick diameter, strong and sturdy and have a good weight to each of them. Would be a perfect habitat for your aquariums or critter cages! Total weight of the three of them is 2 pounds 4 ounces.

Desert Cholla Cactus Wood. Harvested from the Desert of New Mexico. You will receive the 3 pieces of Cholla Wood that are in the photos.

These pieces are fabulous and would make beautiful climbing pieces. Nice and very thick too :) Unusual shapes and root section on one piece. These are the very bottom sections of very large cactus plants. Perfect for aquariums too.

We harvested this cactus wood from naturally downed Cholla Cactus Plants. They have laid on the desert floor for a very long time (years) the heat and dry conditions took care of the flesh of the cactus exposing this beautiful Cholla wood underneath. I have taken a brush to the wood and gave it a good brushing. I then washed it all down with the hose :) laid it in the sun and let it naturally dry again. You may still find some residual debris inside the wood.

They measure: My photos for some reason are not showing the proper lengths in comparison to each other. Please go by the lengths below as they are accurate for what you will get and they are the exact pieces in the photos. Measurements for wide are taken at the end of each piece but width might get wider as you move along the pieces.

Piece with root section: 15 1/2" long at longest point. Root section spans 7 1/2" approx 1 1/2" in diameter (varies as you move up and down the piece)

Piece that looks like a boot with a pointed toe: 13 1/2" long and at the pointed toe area it measures 8" across. Approx 2" in diameter (goes up in size as you move up and down the piece)

Piece with raw edge at bottom is 12" long and 4" wide at the top. Approx 2" in diameter (varies as you move up and down the piece)

Unique Cholla wood is a favorite for Terrarium's, Fairy Gardens, Small Reptile Habitats, Lizard Jungles, Bird Perches and more.

This wood is all natural. Found in the desert and cleaned as above, nothing more.

*!*!*!*!* The weight of this listing of Cholla Wood 2 lb 4 ounces. Will be shipped priority mail. The price of postage has to be set higher on these as they are too wide to fit in a flat rate box.
