Cedar is naturally insect and decay resistant, making it a premier choice of gardeners. We never use pallet, ply or pine, only 100% natural untreated CEDAR. You can feel confident that your planter is made of quality materials and safe, even for organic food safe growing.

Each planter comes complete with drainage holes and railing basket style hanger for rails up to 2" wide. The boxes measure approximately 6.5" from front to back and approximately 5.5" from top to bottom of each box. I do have other options for smaller and larger sizes of rails. Just send me a message.

We also have options for wider railings as well. Just click on "DeMeyer Woodcrafts" to visit our shop and see all that we have to offer.

Your CEDAR Railing Planters arrive fully assembled. Sizes up to 24" come with one basket style hanger and sizes larger than 24" come with 2 basket style hangers.

The hangers that typically come with this listing are designed to be more of a platform for the planter boxes to rest on. They do not lock the boxes in place but the weight of soil and plants are typically sufficient to keep the boxes in place. If you would like a bracket that fits very securely to the box please send me a message and I will be glad to work with you.

If you would like the wider style of hangers in the pictures just send us a message prior to ordering and I will be glad to chat with you about those. They fit flat rails nicely and fit our boxes precisely but there is an additional charge for this style of hanger.

If I had any more space I'd buy more of these planters. They're exactly as described and complement (rather than overwhelm) the plants. Customer service is the best! They shipped when they said they would and arrived in perfect condition. Buy these!

The planters were just as described and look very cute on my balcony. They took over a month to arrive so that's something to keep in mind if you are hoping to have them sooner. But the price, quality, and communication with the seller were all very good.

These are exactly as I had hoped. The brackets were super easy to mount and the boxes fit perfectly. They arrived within the timeframe quoted, but the holiday made delivery slower than I would’ve liked. Laurie was very responsive and respectful. As soon as they were on my balcony I ordered another one. Highly recommend this company and their products.
