Tag numbers do not correspond to measurements and hardly have any size equivalent so we have to go by measurements to be safe.

You can measure your waist and based on that you need to decide on a measurement depending on how tight or relaxed you want the waistband.
OR
You can measure the waistband and inseam of a pair that fits you well as long as it s a similar cut and non-stretch.Please do it as explained below and compare it to listing
photos. ⬇️

Lay down the jeans on a flat solid surface and smooth out any wrinkles by applying gentle pressure .Make sure they re seam on seam evenly folded. Using a non flexible tape measure as close to the edge of waistband or seam as possible.

WAISTBAND : needs to be folded evenly on a straight line with seamlines on top of each other ( no triangle gap) Please use the photos of waistband measurements in every listing as example.
INSEAM : measure it like the waistband except on the inner-seam: from crotch to hem
RISE : Unbutton the fly and measure all the way down along the button flap to the crotch stitch. Hold it and place the tape evenly on its outer edge.
HIPS : across the very end of fly.
TIGH: widest bit of the thigh approx. 1” from crotch.

Preowned vintage denim will have general signs of wear and/or small imperfections but any significant damage will be shown in photos and/or mentioned in the description.
Unless they re part of the distressed look of the denim item,scuffed or damaged areas will be sealed and reinforced with twill on the lining ( invisible on the surface)

All jeans are laundered before listing so you will always receive clean items.

Soft well worn denim can only be achieved by wear which means thinning of the cotton so those pairs should not be worn very tight to avoid ripping .
CARE :wash at 30•,use fabric conditioner and do not tumble dry.

For the REGULAR 90s 501 fit (not tight or oversized) : Easiest is to measure your waist at its narrowest in the mirror and the inseam of any pair you re happy with length-wise.

Each pair is unique so will be priced differently depending on a lot of factors like: era,colour,model,size,fading degree,denim condition, denim texture,wear degree, supply&demand/scarcity,repairs,flaws etc.

501 - classic fit, high waist, regular/slim (not skinny)straight leg

901 (similar to 17501 and 512) - hour glass fit, ultra high waist,tapered leg

-for the 901 model 1” down from your usual 501 waistband has proven to be the best fit
