What makes your crushed minerals superior to your competitors?

Our crushed minerals stand out for a few reasons: *Quality Control: We carefully select, crush, and sift our minerals to maintain their natural beauty and integrity. *Better Pricing: By crushing our own minerals, we can offer competitive prices. *Superior Packaging: Unlike many competitors who use bags, we package our crushed minerals in sturdy jars. This not only protects the product from accidental spillage & bag rips but also makes it easier to use and store. Additionally, you can recycle our jars. *Transparency: We can provide detailed information about the origin and properties of our minerals, ensuring you know exactly what you’re getting. Are crushed minerals faked or dyed?

Crushed minerals have gained immense popularity among makers, attracting the attention of overseas manufacturers. As a result, many of the crushed minerals now available on various platforms originate from countries such as India and China. These minerals we have found to be synthetic, dyed, or identified incorrectly. Additionally, bulk quantities of these minerals can be purchased through crystal vendors and are often repackaged and sold as if they were sourced and crushed in-house. Are your crystals and minerals natural, and real?

Our crystals and minerals are real minerals. They are in their natural state unless otherwise noted. We do carry some manmade minerals and materials that will be called out as being manmade, or dyed a few examples are: Bello Opal, Terahertz Stone (Silicon), Goldstone, and dyed agate.

Why do you use the metric system?

The metric system is the international system of weights and measurments. It is used universally as a set standard for many industries such the the scientific communities, to manufacturing, and to the International Gem Society. We find that it is much easier, and a lot more accurate, to price and sell our products using the metric system. We will at times also include imperial measurements that we typically use in the USA. Fun fact: One carat is 1/5th of a gram.

A gram is a small metric measurement of mass (weight) that is one-thousandth of a kilogram. In Imperial measurements, the measurement that the USA uses, 1 gram is .035 ounces. Fun facts: A US Dollar bill weighs 1 gram. A 5 carat diamond weighs 1 gram.

What is your Environmental Impact?

Purple Door Alchemy is dedicated in reducing our carbon footprint. For this reason, we use a solar energy system that supplies renewable energy to our facility. We use recycled materials/PCR in our packaging and most of our packaging is recyclable. Purple Door Alchemy is registered under its parent company Preston Precision, LLC for France's Extended Producer Responsibility, and Germany's Verpackungsgesetz (Packaging Act). Additionally, we up-cycle our crystals. We take broken crystals and repurpose it by either turning it into a new decor item, tumble, or we crush it for makers to use as crushed minerals. We do not take finished product- chips or tumbles- to crush, we use rough material or broken crystal pieces (bowls, plates).
