Are Brass bee door knockers suitable for my door?

Yes, our door knockers are suitable for composite, wood and UPVC, as long as you can drill into/through they can be fitted to most doors.

How do the door knockers come packaged?

Each door knocker comes individually packaged in a box wrapped in bubble wrap and presented in a velvet bag.

How long does it take to deliver?

Will my products tarnish?

Unfortunately, all types of solid brass will tarnish over time, there is no way of stopping this. However, we have some useful tips if you're willing to roll up your sleeves and give your brass products a good old wash. The best and most effective way to keep your door knocker in great condition is to regularly wash your door knocker with warm soapy water. By doing this you are removing any outdoor elements such as salt in the air, which overtime will begin to tarnish your door knocker. Your door knocker has been coated with a baked catalysed polyurethane which gives it the perfect finish, and this is why we advise using soapy water rather than any kind of brass cleaner.

Do you accept returns and exchanges?

Yes, we do however this must be within 30 days of your delivery and the items are unused in all the original packaging. Your refund will be given upon inspection of your item.

My bee door knocker does not fit?

This is our most common question, as many door styles have glass panels, our standoff packer is a solution to this. It is supplied with longer screws that go through the bee, then the packer to the door. This brings the bees wings over the panels to fit perfectly on your door. Please check all sizes before purchasing.

Fixing Information:
Our Brass bee with ring door knockers are supplied with 4 screws which are easily attached to any type of door whether it be wooden, UPVC or composite doors. The top of the bee is screwed to the door using the 3 screws provided which go through the top plate and no screws will be visible on the inside of the door. The 4th screw is for the striking plate and is screwed from the inside of the door into the striking plate which sits just under the bottom of the bee’s body.

How to care for your bee door knocker
Your door knocker should just be washed with warm soapy water. Always avoid using abrasive materials which could scratch the surface of your bee.
