Securely and tastefully gift wrapped using either kraft boxes wrapped in natural twine or white boxes for smaller pieces.
Large, tall Raku house in white with steps. Every house is handmade and has its own unique crackle finish. These pieces taper inwards towards the top. Typically 4.5cm at the base and 3.5cm towards the roof. Some may also bend to the left or right.

Each piece is handmade from scratch and due to the unpredictable nature of the firing process involved, colour, style and the crackle finish may vary slightly from the photo
Raku is a traditional Japanese technique. A rustic if somewhat precarious technique using all of nature’s elements, earth, air, fire and water.
The work is fired to a high temperature of almost 1000c in a gas fired kiln. It is then removed whilst still very hot and plunged into sawdust. The pieces catch fire and the carbon from the smoke infiltrates the cracks in the glaze. The pieces are then left to cool and then scrubbed clean with water. The result is a finish that is both unpredictable and beautiful.
