Highlights

  • Materials: 999 Fine Silver

There is a slight difference between the coins I use for the large bell and those that I use for the medium and small bells. Please check the listing pictures.

Note: For some reason there are those who seem to think that coin bells are very large, they are not because they are made out of coins (2 coins for each bell). I try to specify height and width in each listing but if in doubt, please ask.

These Collectable bells are just begging to be displayed. They all have all the details one could ask for and sing like an Angel. Other metals like bronze sing too but silver has its own unique angelic voice.
The punched piece from each bell has been repurposed to form the clapper so it is also pure silver, but the other hardware pieces are only silver in color.
3 different sizes to choose from. All are made from 99.9% pure silver bullion rounds.

SMALL BELLS - Made from (2) quarter ounce rounds - .5 Troy ounce in total silver weight.
The coins used were approximately the same size as a U.S. quarter dollar.
The finished bell is approximately 1" across the bottom and 1" high.

MEDIUM BELLS - Made from (2) half ounce rounds - 1 Troy ounce in total silver weight.
The coins used were approximately the same size as a U.S. half dollar.
The finished bell is approximately 1.1" across the bottom and 1.1" high.

LARGE BELLS - Made from (2) one-ounce rounds - 2 Troy ounces in total silver weight.
The coins used were approximately the same size as a U.S. silver dollar.
The finished bell is approximately 1.3" across the bottom and 1.3" high.

Each bell comes with its own soft black velvet bag. These bags serve nicely as gift bags or simply as a storage bag for your bell. These bells are meant as collectable bells for display only.

Typically, your bell will be mailed within 1 to 4 business days after the order has been received and sent as a USPS Ground Advantage Package. Tracking is included but other options are also available at checkout.

Pure silver is by nature hypoallergenic so bells like these should not cause allergic reactions.

*********** Wear a Special Memory or a Little Piece of History ***********

The Aztecs had two calendars, whereas the Mayans had three calendar systems. The Aztec calendar is an adaptation of the Mayan calendar. The Aztec calendar is simpler than the more complex Mayan calendar. The dates in Haab in the Mayan calendar are comparable to the dates in Xiuhpohuali in the Aztec calendar.

The Aztec Calendar Stone with its myriad symbols of celestial bodies and intricate carvings is a recognizable icon of ancient Mesoamerica. In its center is the terrible sun god, Tonatuih, who holds a human heart in each of his hands while his razor-sharp tongue flicks between his lips serving as a ritual blade for sacrifice. When the Spaniards conquered the Aztecs, they discovered the massive 24-ton carving and buried it on the site where the Cathedral of Mexico was built. Out of sight, out of mind. More than 250 years later, however, it was found by accident during renovation of the church. It has since been moved to Mexico’s National Museum of Anthropology where today it is among the most visited artifacts at the prestigious world-renowned museum.
Struck in 99.9% fine silver, the Aztec Calendar Silver Rounds are as impressive a piece of numismatic art as you’ll ever see! The obverse of the piece features a dramatic portrait of Emperor Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec king of Mexico, wearing a traditional headdress and ear ornaments of the Aztec elite.
In 1519, at the height of its power, the Aztec Empire controlled most of central Mexico including what has since become Mexico City. It was at this lofty point in its history that Spanish explorer Hernán Cortés and his army of conquistadores arrived and took King Montezuma II prisoner before laying waste to the empire. After the ultimate defeat of the Aztecs in 1521, Cortés had their last king, Cuauhtémoc, arrested. According to many historians, Cortés kept the young king prisoner and tortured him for several years before finally executing him in 1525. Cuauhtémoc is revered today in Mexico for his heroic defense of the country against all odds. His face is everywhere throughout the country on banknotes, paintings, statues, fine art – and now on these incredibly detailed half-ounce silver rounds!
Paying tribute to Mexico’s Aztec Empire this ring features the design of the Aztec calendar on the reverse and Emperor Cuauhtémoc, the last Aztec king of Mexico, on the obverse create a magnificent pair of designs. Along with the portrait of Cuauhtémoc you can also see the round’s silver purity -- .999 FINE SILVER – and weight.

It is a beautiful bell with a sweet sounding chime. It included a split ring if you plan on using it as a gremlin bell.
