Made a number of months ago and has been curing since. Soap improves (hardens) with age. Superfatted at 5+%
I have been using this myself and can tell you that it is a nice hard bar and is beautifully superfatted which means that there is plenty of tallow which has not been saponified to leave a fine covering on the skin and giving you all of it's benefits, but it does mean that there is minimal lather.
I have been making soap for over 20 years and no-one who has used it has ever had any reaction to it. Ideal for anyone with sensitive skin or who washes their hands frequently. Very gentle and effective. Moisturising and protective.
Each bar weighs around 100g and will be wrapped in a simple piece of greaseproof paper and newspaper then tied with string. Nothing fancy.
Total weight will be just under the 1kg weight limit due to the ludicrously high cost of shipping. Will be sent registered post.
Keep all soap bars dry to extend life when in use. Store spare bars dry - the longer it is kept, the better it gets!
I firmly believe that if we are going to kill an animal to eat then we have a responsibility to make the greatest use of everything that we can. This is why I make this soap - to save the planet (responsible packaging) and not to be wasteful or insulting to the sacrifice of a life.
For those of you who are worried about lye please read on: Is it possible to make soap without using lye? No. Is it possible to make soap without handling lye? Yes - if you let someone else do the lye bit for you (by using a melt and pour base). But if you want to make pure natural soap from scratch there is no way to avoid lye. Soap making is just chemistry. The whole world is just chemistry. Our soap has no lye in it once you receive it. All of the lye has been used up and has been turned into soap.
