The Lord gave me a vision for this piece and it came alive! It's a great visual of what really happened Easter morning!

~The Lion represents Jesus. One of the names of Jesus is the Lion of Judah. Just like Aslan in Narnia, died for Edmund’s sins so he could live, so Jesus died for us! Our sin leads to death. Hell was our destiny. But Jesus came! God in flesh came to save us from our destiny. He took on humanities sins and every wrong thing we ever did onto Himself, the perfect sacrifice. He died on a cross and thank God it doesn’t stop there!

~The serpent represents the devil. Satan thought he had the victory when Jesus died. He thought he had a hold on humanity now. Then on the third day the Mighty Lion resurrected showing the world not even death could keep him down. Jesus crushed the serpent’s head and death at last was defeated!
“For here is the way God loved the world—he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life. God did not send his Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but to be its Savior and rescue it! So now there is no longer any condemnation for those who believe in him, but the unbeliever already lives under condemnation because they do not believe in the name of the only Son of God.”
