A fun easy-to-make patchwork wall-hanging using squares of one size. Templates are given for all sizes from a miniature using 2½" squares to 5½" squares. Suitable for using scraps, Jelly Rolls or Charm Packs. Size: 13" x 12" using 2½" squares, 42" x 39" using 5" squares. A star template is given for the top or you could replace the top green square with a gold one. I wanted a rustic feel, so added wooden buttons of angels, hearts and flowers. You could add lots of bling to make it shiny and use bright fabric for the background 'stars'. I simply quilted ¼" around the whole tree and the 'parcels' and 'stars. A really satisfying project!
I have almost completed an autumn tree complete with falling leaves and that is looking really great.
