This is an ORIGINAL one of a kind hand-painted soft pastel piece by artist Terry Sommerville.

Item Description:
- This is a picture I took while running a kayak tour on the hook peninsula in Co.Wexford, these cliffs are only visible from the sea and it was a treat to get the weather that day.
- This is art work is based off my own reference material
- The style is loose, painterly and impressionistic
- Only the highest quality professional soft pastels have been used (Unison and Sennelier primarily)
- The painting has been done on acid free archival pastel paper that is guaranteed to keep the painting crisp and vibrant for years to come
- I sign my all paintings with three small letters "TEL", this keeps the focus on the artwork and off the signature
- Great care is taken with each and every painting to properly pack it and ensure it arrives to you safe and sound

About the artist:
Hello, my name is Terry Sommerville and I live in Ireland on the south-west coast. I left my science degree and corporate job behind in 2017 and have since qualified as an outdoor instructor in multiple areas such as surfing, kayaking and climbing. A lot of my paintings are based on scenes I captured while pursuing these activities.

I took up painting in 2019 and fell in love with it soon after. To create a successful painting you must simultaneously balance multiple elements but still paint with your heart, this mix greatly interests me and keeps me motivated to continue developing myself as an artist.

I am primarily drawn to nature and especially to the sea but I will never shy away from a subject if it sparks my interest. My aim is to compose and capture the impression of a scene in a loose painterly way and communicate that to the viewer.

I know that if you're on this page, you are looking for a great way to store and see your pastels as you work, but you don't have much space, and a giant box isn't going to work. You are at the right place. I love these boxes. I can arrange them in whatever configuration I need, and I don't need to have them all out at once. When done, I just stack them up, and they tuck away nicely. The quality is fantastic, and the wood is beautiful. These are handmade, and they show the love of craftsmanship and personality, not the coldness of something coming off a machine. How much do I love them? I just now placed an order for another set of five! Shipping to California from Ireland was fast and reasonable. Pay attention to the options and details in the description and ask questions. This is AWESOME! I love this clever tray. It fits perfectly under my easel, along with the custom-created adapter created to ensure it was the perfect fit. This is SO much easier than constantly reaching over to my pastel box for just the few I’m currently using. It’s made of beautiful wood, too.
