Compared to mahogany, raintree is lighter in color and displays much more variation in grain with some pieces showing huge swaths of white. It is brown and does not have the red/ pinkish hue of mahogany. Let me know if you have a preference in grain patterns.

Comes in a set of one solid wood base, 12 glass tubes (plus 1 spare without lid in case of breakage during delivery). Dimensions of base is 25cm (9.8 inches) by 9cm (3.5 inches) by 3.5cm (1.4 inches). Containers are 12cm (4.7 inches) /15cm high and 3cm (1-3/16 inches) wide.
