This Montessori math toy is designed to grow with your child. Our beginning math toy set is not just a number puzzle for counting & number recognition for toddlers, but a more advanced kindergarten math material that teaches basic arithmetic to 4-6 year olds!

1) MASTER NUMBER SENSE: Learn counting, addition, subtraction, & place value with this number toy set. Our number peg board set helps develop one-on-one correspondence between the written number and its value. Children learn how to count as they place each peg into the hole. They then have the opportunity to match, re-order, and test themselves.

2) MULTI-AGE LEARNING: Toddlers learn counting from this number puzzle while preschoolers and kindergarteners explore how to add & subtract up to number 20. Our toy is inspired by Montessori practices, combining the aesthetic + tactile learning + a self-exploratory & corrective design. Designed to fit into your library of Montessori toys for toddlers & up.

3) TACTILE TEN FRAME MATH: Teaches kindergarten math and how to compose & decompose numbers using the included wooden pegs on the ten-frame designed panel. Our number sorting toy promotes creativity, exploration, & the opportunity to create multiple touch-points for learning. It teaches children to identify the number of things in a set by quickly looking at them vs. counting.

4) ODD & EVEN NUMBER DIFFERENTIATION: The odd number panel boards have circle holes; even boards have square holes. Pegs likewise are shaped accordingly - circle-end rods only fit into the odd boards and square-end rods only fit into the even boards.

This design helps with pattern recognition and prepares children for addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc...

5) VERSATILITY: Our hands-on math tool contains movable number pieces to allow children to either match directly in the wooden panel or use separately for ordering, skip counting, etc... The rectangular cut-outs in the wooden panel provide space for utilizing a different variety of math counters and math manipulatives.

6) FINE-MOTOR SKILLS DEVELOPMENT: This number peg counting toy is perfect for honing fine-motor skills.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Kindly note that our return/refund policies do NOT apply to:

1) International Orders (with the exception of shipping damage or a product defect). We will be unable to process refunds due to a change of mind due to the high shipping and customs costs.
2) Domestic & International orders which have the correct address, but the carrier was unable to deliver to your location for some reason. We will be unable to process a refund in this case due to the costs of the return (or the abandonment of a package at the international border).

ABOUT OUR COUNTING PEGS

I design my line of learning toys here at home in the USA. However, in this global age of manufacturing, I am grateful to partner with other talented folks to bring my designs to life. My goal is to balance ethical, worry-free production and costs while acknowledging supply chain efficiencies.

These Counting Pegs are made with re-purposed solid rubberwood imported from Thailand and pine wood from New Zealand. The design then comes to life through the talented hands of my woodmaker partners in East Asia. The finishing on our toys is a water-based finish and is certified non-toxic and safe.

Our woodmakers work in compliance with the BSCI code of conduct, which is a standardized European approach for monitoring social standards. The finished products are then 3rd-party tested by TUV SUD, a German-based monitoring laboratory company. Our Counting Pegs is certified safe under U.S., EU, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand toy safety laws. This includes ASTM F963, UK EN-71, EN-71, SOR 2011-17 & 18, and AUS/NZ ISO 8124 Regulations.

The finished product is then shipped out directly from us in Texas, and at times, depending on our customer's shipping location, also from a fulfillment partner in a different U.S. state that helps us store inventory.
