Frida Kahlo de Rivera (July 6, 1907 – July 13, 1954; born Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón) was a Mexican painter, born in Coyoacán and is perhaps best known for her self-portraits. Her work has been celebrated in Mexico as emblematic of national and indigenous tradition, and by feminists for its uncompromising depiction of the female experience and form.

Love this item! Took off 1 star because even though they flowers are black, it came on a purple headband and I would have preferred it all to be solid black, but it's not a huge deal. Came in timely manner and looks great on. Even has a strap so it goes all the way around and can be bobby pinned into place for performing.
