This tiny locket is solid Sterling silver with a small blue stone in the front (it is turquoise color and may be real turquoise, but I am not sure and cannot verify it). It opens by unscrewing the knob at the bottom and separating the front and back. It is easy to do and stays closed securely. It hangs on a lovely solid Sterling silver chain (not plated) with a secure solid Sterling silver lobster clasp. The front and back have simple, but different, designs in relief.

The locket, imported from Nepal and hand made by local artisans, is about 7/8" high (from the bottom of the knob to the top of the bail), almost 3/4" wide, and 1/3" deep. All measurements are approximate.
You will have the choice of chain lengths when you check out. The options are 16", 18", 20", 22", 24", 26", 28", and 30".

This unique locket can be used to hold small things like sand, small stones, or herbs. Or, leave it empty. It is pretty as is. It is not appropriate for liquids.
