I serge the edges to prevent fraying.
I cut the fabric prior to posting, if you want continuous yardage please check with me before ordering so I can make sure I have it stock.
Zweigart says the fabric is white with gray lines, I find that the fabric is more of an off white (close to DMC 3865) with gray lines.
There may be variations of the gray dyed lines seen throughout the bolt. These are not flaws but are due to the processing & dyeing methods.
As Etsy only allows one weight for shipping on variations, overages of $1 and up will be refunded. This may mean you pay for priority mail, if your packages weighs in under 16ozs it will be shipped 1st class package instead. If you prefer Priority please add a comment to your purchase.
The gray grid marks every 10th thread.
If the grid needs to be washed out of the fabric, Zweigart recommends 40°C (104F) and 40 minutes in the washing machine. If some of the grid is still showing after washing the piece, wash it again. Zweigart claims it is important to wash the piece in a washing machine and not wash it by hand, but you can also try soaking your piece in a bath of about 90 degree water with a gentle cleaner like Oxyclean until the lines are gone (usually about one hour).
