Coty compact mirror

Found at the estate of the original owner. She was originally from Miami and she had nice things that she saved. Research indicates the compact can be dated late 1940s-early 1950s.

Made of metal believed to be brass and has the Coty signature on the inside. Coty was a popular brand back in the day. Inside is a mirror with a lift up compartment for the powder. There is no powder. The compact is made in an envelope style with a snap closure and a close diamond design.

Measuring 3 1/2 inches x 2 3/4 inches x 1/4 inch when closed. In good overall condition with scuffs, scratching, faded metal and discoloration. The inside is clean. The mirror is clear but has some aging on the top right corner. There is no powder but there is powder residue even after cleaning. The brass color has darkened from over time and you can see where it is lighter under the clasp cover (see photos).

Metal/brass surfaces have not been cleaned/polished by me.

This is a solid compact, not very heavy but not lightweight. Has the Coty logo on the inside. Has no powder puff.
