Motivated to create so that I could capture and preserve the cheerful moments of the season, I take gorgeous flowers and turn them into hanging lights that are made from eco-friendly materials like natural wood. Here I come with the "Seeds of the Sun" ceiling light series.

No.7 in our "Seeds of the Sun" lights is the Marigold flower light.

When we talk about Marigolds, we immediately think of it as one of the most cheerful, colorful, beautiful, hardy and easy to grow flowers on Planet Earth. It's not difficult for us to spot a garden full of yellow, orange, and mixed red Marigold blooms as they grow pretty easily and in abundance from Spring till Fall.

Not only beautiful, Marigolds are also associated with the most positive meanings. They are symbolic for good luck and good fortune, and also protection from evil. In my country Vietnam, it also symbolizes longevity.

The lovely, cute little Marigolds gave me the inspiration to create this Marigold flower light. And I have the same intention for it as to my other lights in the "Seeds of the Sun" lights collection, that is, to turn perishable, delicate flowers with beautiful meanings into sturdy wooden unique decor items, made a light, and what we get is full of life and playful flowers blooming and flowing in ocean of lights and darkness at night.

What's special about our Marigolds wooden lamp?

The Marigold light is meticulously designed in a way that when the light fixture is illuminated, it would look so vividly alive and real with layers of lights and colors showing through differently among the layers from the bottom to the top.

On the vertical scale, it has 12 layers of petals. Between these layers, depending on where each layer locates, it receives different levels of lights from the light source (light bulb), which then decides how dark or light each layer would appear. You will see the bottom layer is the darkest, and as we move higher the layers become lighter showing different shades of orange when it is mixed with lights. Together it creates fascinating shadow patterns on the wall and the ceiling in your room.

If you are wondering why there seems to be multiple colors as in the pictures, it has to do with the design of the Marigold light, and not because of different staining to parts of the light. The Marigold pendant light is in the orange color. In day time, you would see the light fixture as a golden Marigold throughout. But when the light is on, the flower is alive and transforms your living space into an atmosphere that is delighting and relaxing.

The pieces are cut from 3mm high quality Natural Wood, waterproofed and stained in orange, so you can rest assured this Marigold lamp is very sturdy, durable and will last a very long time.

The Marigold wood pendant light is handmade from Natural Wood . Our handmade wooden lamp comes with CE certified electrical components, including:
- An E26/E27 light socket
- A Cord of 31 inches long (Cord length is adjustable to fit your needs. You can adjust how high or low from the ceiling you want the light fixture to be);
- A ceiling plate Ø 3.94 inches with mounting hardware;

👉 NO light bulb is included in the package. You can use any E26, E27 Light bulb, LED bulb, Edison bulb. You can use a dimmer to adjust the brightness of light, thus controlling the intensity of the light patterns projected on the ceiling.
👉 In the pictures in my listing, I used an A60 Vintage Edison LED bulb, Warm Yellow, 8W.

You just need to slot the pieces together and glue. It will take you about 2 HOURS (or 3 hours at max) to have the whole light assembled. If you do this with the help of a family member, it would be much faster and more fun too!
