A cat skull surrounded by colourful poppies. A little memento mori. Seeing the beauty in the cycle of life is sometimes difficult. This drawing was the last piece I completed before lockdown in March 2020. I have a bit of an obsession with drawing skeletons, and cat skeletons in particular since I lost my cat (and company's namesake in 2018). This isn't exactly a series, but I keep coming back to it. Poppies as well. Poppies are bright and alluring, have a very short season, and are associated with sleep. Sleeping for now, sleeping forever. A little dark, I know, but the juxtaposition of brightness in the dark is hopeful and beautiful.

Fabulous design, brilliant quality. Arrived late by about a week but this was the fault of the postal service, not the seller. The seller was fantastic when I said I hadn't recieved it and offered to send another immediately. I said I would wait a bit longer and it arrived in perfect condition.
