This is a written crochet pattern for the Dani Hooded Jacket. This pattern creates a warm, thick fabric that is both beautifully textured and wonderfully warm. The colorful striping adds to the fun of this jacket, and it is all topped off with a stylish hood – ideal for keeping your ears warm on a windy day. There is no sewing required anywhere – you will be able to complete this garment with only your crochet hook!

The pattern is completely size customizable, with detailed notes at every step in the pattern to guide you in making a jacket that fits exactly as you like. Pictured example is approx. size S in Men’s or M in Women’s (23” L x 20” W), on a model who is 5’6” and typically wears either a size small or medium in both men’s and women’s clothing. PDF includes 18 pages of written directions and thorough picture tutorials (125+ photos included) that will walk you through every minor step. Written in US terms.

-Approx. 1650 yds of lightweight/DK (#3) wool-blend yarn (Yarn Bee Must Be Merino) in 5 colors (3 skeins of White, 2 skeins of Silver Grey, 2 skeins of Gold, 2 skeins of Teal, and 2 skeins of Black)
-5mm hook
-Scissors
-Tapestry Needle
-Stitch Markers
-Tape measurer (recommended)
-16mm black buttons (x10)

Skill level:

Intermediate or enthusiastic beginner! This pattern uses mostly very basic stitches, and there are very detailed instructions for how to complete any special stitching necessary. The hood is shaped with increases and decreases coming from the center, which will take a little extra care and attention to detail to complete – however, there are multiple pictures of every step along the way, so if you are still pretty new to crochet but unafraid of a little challenge then this pattern may be just right for you.
