Entitled "I am Beset by Women! (version 2)", this is a hand-pulled silkscreen print. It is 8" x 17", and uses the 4-color CMYK process inks. Printed on Stonehenge thick white printmaking paper.
Edition of 20. The print you receive will not necessarily be the one shown in the picture, it may vary a bit, as each individual print is slightly different. Each print is hand-numbered, titled and signed.
The image is taken from a 1983 Marvel comic, "Vision & the Scarlet Witch" #4. I took away the original's colors, appropriating the linework. I then replaced the colors with oversized Ben-Day dots of my own design. I printed the image using 4-color CMYK process inks, the same way an inkjet printer (or old comics) created separate colors.
This is now my third time printing this image. I originally made this silkscreen print in 2010. It was my first print made in this pop art, CMYK style. It was also one of my most popular prints, selling out in a matter of months. I have since created many more prints in this style, and decided to use my acquired skills and techniques to create a new, "director's cut" re-colored version of this fan-favorite. The great supervillain Magneto has never been in as much trouble as when he is beset by women! I found this panel hilarious when taken out of context, and turned into a pop-art object. Comics and Pop art fans will love it too.
