Highlights
Stunning oak wooden spatula. This spatula has been crafted, sanded and finished by hand with a with a custom blend of mineral oil, carnauba wax, and beeswax to not only seal and protect the wood but providing a beautiful hand rub sheen. These utensils are made to be hand washed in hot soapy water but dishwasher use and soaking is not recommended.
To maintain the beauty and the performance of your utensils board, periodic conditioning is recommended. You could simply apply mineral oil to your utensil. Mineral Oil can be purchased at most drug and grocery stores. It should be applied once a week for the first month and once a month for the first year. Then approximately every six months thereafter, depending upon the use of the utencil. You can also purchase one of several commercial oils and/or conditioners designed for butcher blocks or toys. If you purchase a commercial brand, we would recommend purchasing a brand that contain carnauba wax and it is the hardest wax and will offer waterproofing protection. Just made sure it states that it is food safe.
