Can you put it on hold?

Items may be placed on hold for a defined and limited period of time, at the sole discretion of DC Silver. Hold duration and terms must be agreed to in advance. Items not purchased within the agreed hold period may be released and made available for sale without further notice.

Offers may be submitted at the buyer’s discretion. Submission of an offer does not create a contract or obligation to sell. DC Silver reserves the right to accept, reject, or ignore any offer for any reason.

How do you date your items

All date estimates are opinions only, based on available comparative sales (“comps”), reference materials, industry forums, and professional experience. Dates are not guarantees and should be understood as approximations.

Why won't you fulfill my order?

DC Silver reserves the right to refuse service or cancel any order, including but not limited to circumstances involving pricing errors, fluctuations in precious-metal markets, inventory discrepancies, or item availability. If an order is canceled prior to shipment, any payments received will be refunded.

I want to return an item. Can I have a full refund?

All items are researched and represented in good faith. However, due to the nature of antiques and collectibles, errors in attribution or authenticity may occur. Buyers may return items for any reason within 14 calendar days of receipt. After the 14-day return period, all sales are final, and DC Silver assumes no further liability related to authenticity, attribution, or description, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Unclaimed / Returned Items?

If an item is returned to DC Silver as unclaimed, undeliverable, or “return to sender,” the buyer will be notified and given the opportunity to arrange reshipment at their expense. If no response is received within 60 calendar days of notification, the item will be considered abandoned property and may be resold. No refund will be issued for abandoned items.

Offered here is a tremendous circle of William Spratling Quetzalcoatl brooch recently recovered from Millerton, New York. Handsome possibly one of a kind design that is classic Meso-American mythical motif known as the feathered serpent or dragon Quetzalcoatl as illustrated in the codex nutali. This brooch is an early piece from the first period that ranged from about 1930-1940 marked with an incuse 980 mark and Taxco. Silver is very heavy gauge. Must have come from a Spratling protege and possibly made from the Spratling atelier.

Condition is excellent with some minor wear and patina consistent with age and use as shown. Clasp works well. I can polish this up if requested by the customer, but leave it in as found condition otherwise. Great gift for an adoring wife or girlfriend.
