Its best to remove all jewelry before bathing and to prevent it from contact with beauty products like lotions, sanitizers, and perfumes.
For cleaning sterling silver that comes without a finish - simply soak in warm water with some baking soda and set aside to dry.
With time the gold plating finish might polish off and the true color of the brass will shine through. Avoid using sanitizers or strong chemicals when wearing your gold-plated pieces. For cleaning the plated metals simply use a dry cloth and gently rub.
