Now a few notes on the stickers and paintings they were derived from

"Guided by Light" the original painting features 3 Orcas that we have lost from the same matrilineal family: J-17 Princess Angeline and one of her daughters J-28 Polaris and her calf Dipper. The sticker depicts J28 Polaris at 23 years old and her male calf J54 Dipper who was just 10 months old and died a few days after his mother. Tragically, we lost these lovely, young souls from our J-Pod group in late October of 2016.

"Salish Seal Bliss" This work was inspired by many trips on the water observing Harbor Seals in the Salish Sea. One observation is that most of the time they look happy and content to be resting and sunning themselves on beaches and rocks and I wanted to depict that here.

"Perch with a View" This Tufted Puffin work, is part of an ongoing series called "SeaBirds in Paradise," and was inspired by the Endangered Tufted Puffins that stop over in the Spring and Summer to breed and raise their chicks on rocky cliffs throughout coastal areas & The Straits of Juan De Fuca in Washington state. In this painting I also included the Olympic Mountain Range as a backdrop.

"Barn Owl at Dawn" Inspired by the beautiful & ethereal Barn Owls of Skagit Valley, which is the backdrop of this work

"Scarlet Love" This Devotional/Commemorative style painting depicts the joy of life that we all saw in Scarlet as well as the love that we will carry for her forever in our hearts. Scarlet left us last September (2018) at almost 4 years old after a months long struggle with malnutrition and desease.
