I have distressed this shirt using bleach, giving it a tie dye appearance.
After bleaching, it was washed once on a cold setting.
Some residual bleach smell may remain, until you wash with your own detergent:)

Turn the shirt inside out, machine wash, gentle/cold cycle, avoid fabric softener, and hang to dry - or tumble dry on low.Nothing bad will happen of washed hot or warm, and even if put in the dryer, but it does enhamce longevity. (Tested on my own shirts)
