The industry standard for the sizing needed for a cremation urn is 1 cubic inch of space for every pound a person weighed. This is for a healthy body weight as the volume of ashes is not affected much by someone being heavier. The younger a person is the more they may required additional space because of a greater bone density. If you are concerned about getting the proper size please contact me by message and I will help you through the process. Most adult size urns are 200 cubic inches or larger. Companion size urns will be for 2 and should be over 400 cubic inches. Keepsake sizes are for a portion of the ashes and will be usually less than 100 cubic inches. Each size is clearly labeled in the description of each urn.

Custom and personalized orders

When selecting the details of your personalization on the urn there is a choice of 3 different fonts. Examples of these are in the listing pictures. It is usually the last picture. You will receive a rendering of what it will look like when it is complete. You can make changes to it or let me know that you like it the way it is and I will get it started from there. It is important for you to look it over carefully. I do my best to correct grammatical errors, but I copy and paste what you send me so I know I am accurate to what you want. I can also do little details on the personalization, just let me know what you are looking for and I will do my best to accommodate. I cannot accept returns on personalized orders unless I made a mistake.

* Handmade in America, the Carved Celtic Cremation Urn was built from solid hardwood cherry by a craftsman with 30 years of woodworking experience.
Carved Tree of Life on the front with ornate Celtic border and carvings on the top and sides

* Keepsake Size Measures 6" wide x 8 3/4" high x 6" deep at the base and holds 125 cubic inches which is about half of the space needed for most adults. It is generally used when ashes are going to be split up and shared.

* Adult Size Measures 7" wide x 10 1/2" high x 7" deep at the base and holds 225 cubic inches of ashes which is enough space for most adults.

* Oversized Measures 7 1/2" wide x 11 1/4" high x 7 1/2" deep at the base and holds 300 cubic inches of ashes which is enough space for most larger adults

* Companion Size Measures 8 1/4" wide x 12 1/2" high x 8 1/4" deep at the base and holds 430 cubic inches of ashes which is enough space for two adults.

* Personalized Inscription is available in three different fonts and can be laser engraved into the wood on the back panel. I don’t have a set limit on the number of characters or lines.
