Why does the brass and copper jewelry turn my skin green?

Sometimes when natural raw brass jewelry comes in contact with skin, a chemical reaction naturally occurs due to the copper content found in brass metal. Sweat and oils can leave a temporary green tint. The discoloration will easily wash away with soap and water. Some people (including myself) find the more they wear it the less likely the chemical reaction occurs. This same natural reaction can also occur when wearing solid raw copper jewelry. This is not a defect in my products, this is a natural process. If asked, I can offer suggestions to minimize the green tint discoloration.
