Number two in a series of posters dedicated to capturing the essence of the five Monuments of professional cycling. The Monuments (Milan-San Remo, Paris-Roubaix, The Tour of Flanders, Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Tour of Lombardy) are five of the oldest, longest and toughest one-day cycle races in the world. Each has its own unique character, landmarks and legends.

'The climber's classic', Liège-Bastogne-Liège is also known as La Doyenne - The Oldest.

First run in 1892, the race winds through the rugged beauty of the Belgian Ardennes, full of winding climbs, deep valleys and conifer-clad peaks.

At its climax, the riders race up La Côte de la Roche aux Faucons, 'the Rocks with Falcons'. Always decisive, it's one of the pivotal moments of every race, and I've celebrated it with the diving falcons of the image.

The road features the names of some of the greats who have conquered the race - Kelly, Argentin, Merckx, Hinaul, Gilbert. La Doyenne is perhaps the toughest of all the Monuments, and only the very best can win it - a race for the ages.

Bought a set of 3 posters. After quick ship from the UK it went into the USPS black hole for about 3 weeks and seemed lost, but was delivered and the posters look great in their frames!!
